Clarendon Hills, founded by Roman Bratasiuk in the late 1980s, stands as McLaren Vale’s foremost single-vineyard Syrah producer. The Astralis block traces its origins to a 1920 planting on a steep, east-facing slope of Blewitt Springs, farmed naturally and dry-grown since its early days.

In 2015, fruit was hand-harvested and fermented with minimal intervention. The wine matured for 18 months in 100% new French oak barriques, carefully balancing structure and intensity while preserving varietal purity. Bottled under cork, the wine’s classic and traditional style supports long-term cellaring.

Astralis 2015 is remarkable in its depth and grace: black cherry and blueberry threaded with anise, mint, spice, and subtle smoke, all framed by fine-grained tannins.
