Galah Wine Company was a Clare Valley producer known for its focus on classically styled reds that reflected both regional character and traditional winemaking craft. The 1994 Cabernet Malbec draws from estate and regional vineyards in the Clare Valley, a warm and dry season that produced small, concentrated berries with excellent flavour intensity. Cabernet Sauvignon formed the backbone of the blend, providing structure, cassis fruit and tannic definition, while Malbec contributed richness, colour and supple spice. Grapes were hand picked, fermented in small parcels, and matured in oak to integrate depth and complexity without obscuring varietal character. The finished wine offers dark plum and blackberry notes with cedar, dried herb and earthy spice, supported by firm tannins and fresh acidity. It remains a thoughtful example of mid-1990s Clare Valley red winemaking, balancing approachability with the capacity for extended cellaring.
