The 1991 vintage in Coonawarra was shaped by a cooler season with steady ripening, delivering Shiraz with lifted aromatics, balanced acidity and fine tannins. Fruit was harvested from the region’s famed terra rossa soils, vinified in small fermenters and matured in seasoned French oak to highlight perfume and structural clarity rather than sheer power. The finished wine reveals dark cherry and plum notes interwoven with spice, cedar and subtle earthy complexity, carried by fresh acidity and long, fine tannins.
