The Old Faithful is a McLaren Vale grower-led collective that honours the region’s old vineyards and traditional Rhône varietals, with a focus on wines of individuality and place. The Almond Grove Mourvedre 2006 comes from low-yielding vines in McLaren Vale, producing fruit of concentration and power. The vintage offered ideal ripening conditions, allowing the variety’s natural spice and savoury depth to shine alongside ripe, dark fruit. Aromas of blackberry, plum and dried herb lead into a palate marked by black pepper, warm spice and earthy notes, supported by firm yet integrated tannins.
