Turkey Flat Vineyards, established on plantings from 1847 and tended by the Schulz family for over five generations, is central to the history of Barossa shiraz. The 1998 vintage, widely regarded as one of the finest of the decade, produced wines of power and ageworthiness. This Shiraz presents concentrated aromas of blackberry, plum and dark cherry enriched by hints of spice and subtle oak. The palate is full-bodied and structured, combining ripe fruit intensity with firm, savoury tannins that drive length and persistence. With its depth, balance and cellaring potential, the 1998 release is a benchmark example of Barossa’s old-vine heritage and vintage strength.
