Reviews

Shimmering garnet with ruby core. Appealing nose, very complex, lots of raspberry, some coriander seed, peach and leather. Packed with dense tannin on the palate, spans a wide arc of flavours, earthy finish, can be laid down for many years to come. Tasted: Nov 2021
From plants with an average age of 55 years a wine is produced that has an imposing sensory profile, it reveals it's delicate yet impressive essence with notes of red prunes, redcurrants, raspberries, cassis and wild myrtle. It is enriched by a regal, authoritarian background which dispenses notes of juniper berries, burnt sage and withered marjoram. Full bodied, strong and horizontal by nature when entering the palate, it is a continous crescendo of intensity and vertical unidirectionality through to the finale. Elegance meets strength and generates a wine of unique potential, difficult to replicate. The rich manganese soils confer character and uniqueness. 60% limestone and 40% clay. Better from 2024 onwards. Tasted: Jul 2022
