Roberto Voerzio La Serra Barolo 2010 is a masterful expression of Barolo’s noble tradition combined with modern precision. Crafted by the acclaimed winemaker Roberto Voerzio, this wine embodies the high-altitude elegance of the La Serra vineyard, capturing a unique tension between refined structure and vibrant intensity. The 2010 vintage, celebrated for its classical balance and exceptional ripeness, provides an ideal foundation for this wine’s harmonious profile.

From a premium private cellar, this release is considered by many enthusiasts as arguably the most complete La Serra Voerzio has ever produced. Rich layers of dark cherry, wild herbs, and delicate floral notes unfold gracefully on the nose, while the palate offers firm yet silky tannins, lively acidity, and a lingering finish that reflects the meticulous craftsmanship behind its creation.

Roberto Voerzio’s modernist approach is evident in the wine’s precise structure and clarity, emphasizing purity and expression without sacrificing the traditional Barolo character. Each sip reveals the terroir’s distinctive minerality and the complexity derived from La Serra’s prized hillside location.

As one of Piedmont’s flagship bottlings, this 2010 La Serra Barolo stands as a testament to both the vintage's extraordinary quality and Voerzio’s dedication to excellence. It is a rare opportunity to experience a wine that bridges tradition and innovation with unmatched finesse.

Reviews

A red with lovely balance of fruit and ultra-fine tannins. Full body, with strawberry, spice and chocolate character. Chewy finish. This is tight and powerful. Pure. Needs time to soften.
Firm tannins give the 2010 Barolo La Serra much of its energy and cut. A brilliant wine, the 2010 bursts from the glass with freshly cut flowers, mint, sweet spices and licorice. As always La Serra has a certain tannic spine that is impossible to miss. In 2010 La Serra is striking. Sweet rose petals, red berries, mint and crushed rocks reappear on the bright, chiseled finish. This is a fabulous La Serra.
