Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino 2015 is a masterful expression of Tuscan viticulture, offering an exquisite taste of one of Italy's most revered wine regions. Originating from a historic estate established in 1923, this wine embodies a rich heritage linked to Venetian nobility and deep-rooted Tuscan tradition. The estate, centered around a magnificent 16th century Medici villa, proudly displays the lion of St. Marco on its label, symbolizing its unique lineage.

Produced exclusively from meticulously selected Sangiovese grapes grown in the famed Montalcino terroir, the 2015 vintage is a standout year. Known for its ideal climate conditions—warm days paired with cool nights—this vintage allowed the grapes to achieve exceptional phenolic ripeness. The wine reveals an intense aromatic profile featuring ripe cherry, wild berries, and delicate hints of spice and leather, complemented by elegant floral undertones.

On the palate, this Brunello presents a full-bodied, structured experience with refined tannins and vibrant acidity, ensuring remarkable aging potential. Its complex layers unfold dark fruit flavors intertwined with tobacco and subtle earthiness, leading to a long and satisfying finish. This sophisticated balance highlights the Fuligni family’s nearly century-long dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

Critically acclaimed and sourced from a premium private cellar, the 2015 Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino has been awarded a perfect 100-point score by James Suckling, confirming its position among the finest wines from Montalcino. This vintage epitomizes the elegance and tradition of Tuscany, offering a rare opportunity to savor a world-class Italian classic that will grace any discerning wine collection.

Reviews

The purity of fruit on the nose is perfection with cherries, crushed raspberries, mineral, pumice and citrus fruit. Dust, too. Full body. Powerful, chewy tannins. So long and muscular, yet polished and formed. Most structured Brunello I have ever had from here. A wine for decades.
Rose, violet, camphor, wild berry and aromatic herb aromas are front and center on this gorgeous red. It’s juicy, enveloping and delicious, doling out succulent black cherry, raspberry compote, licorice and baking spice alongside velvety tannins. It’s already almost approachable but thanks to the estate’s vineyards north of Montalcino, it also has freshness and mid-term staying power.
