Crafted by Ben Glaetzer, a key figure from one of Barossa Valley’s most respected winemaking families, Amon-Ra is celebrated for its rich complexity and full-bodied structure. The 2009 vintage benefits from ideal growing conditions—warm climate and nutrient-rich ancient soils—which enhanced grape concentration and balanced acidity, traits that contribute to the wine’s impressive aging potential and longevity.

Its velvety texture and long, lingering finish exemplify the signature style that has cemented Amon-Ra's place as an Australian wine icon.

Sourced from a private cellar within the Barossa Valley, this wine expresses the unique terroir of the region, renowned worldwide for producing bold, flavorful Shiraz that showcases both power and elegance. Reviews

Deep purple-black colored, the 2009 Amon-Ra has pronounced creme de cassis and blueberry tart aromas over notes of raw meat, fertile loam, yeast extract and cloves. More elegant in the mouth, it has a medium to firm level of very fine tannins, vibrant and fresh acid that lingers nicely through a long and fruity finish. It is approachable now and will cellar to 2025+.
