Les Greves is named for its gravelly soils, which are based on limestone and provide excellent drainage for the vines. A lack of water and nutrients in the topsoil encourages deep root growth in order to reach hydration from the rock below. The soil makeup is often given as the reason for the weight and depth.

Pretty floral and Asian style tea influences can be found on the black berry liqueur-suffused nose. There is excellent size, weight and power to the muscular middle weight plus flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the impressively long though decidedly structured finish where the only reproach is a touch of warmth. Worth checking out.
