Messenger Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 is an excellent sequel to the 2010 vintage. A mulberry and red cherry nose contains overtones of lavender, while the palate is juicy and elegant; blueberry flavours shine through with very fine tannins and integrated French oak.

Score

A very intense, fine and elegant cabernet; taut and long. Dried herb and berry aromas. A suave, seamless wine with great fruit purity, harmony and finesse. Silken tannins. (Messenger is the southernmost vineyard in the single vineyard program, and needs a warm season to make it into bottle by itself. Previous bottlings were also warm: 2005 and 2010.)

Produced from Wynns' most southerly vineyard, this is a fragrant cabernet with engaging aromatics of blackcurrant and violet. It has remarkable intensity on the mid-palate as well as impressive length. The wine has an elegant flow, and the tannins are delightfully silky
