Brokenwood Wildwood Road Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 showcases the depth and elegance of Western Australia’s renowned Margaret River wine region. Wildwood Road connects Caves Road at Yallingup on the coast with inland Carbunup, passing through an area celebrated for its high-quality vineyards and premium Cabernet Sauvignon.

This 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied and finely structured, with distinctive sage notes adding regional character. The palate is supported by fine tannins derived from both the fruit and oak, creating a polished texture, balanced depth and a lingering finish.

With its combination of ripe Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, subtle oak influence and refined tannin structure, this premium Australian red wine offers excellent drinking appeal now while possessing the poise to develop further with careful cellaring. Sourced from a premium private cellar, it is a notable addition to collections of fine wine and Brokenwood releases.

Reviews

Crushed and destemmed, fermented with cultured yeast for 5-7 days, matured in French barriques and puncheons (29% new). A fragrant, medium-bodied wine, purity, balance and length its calling cards. Superfine tannins are on the money.
