Reschke Armenta Shiraz 2015 showcases the power, polish and regional character of premium Coonawarra Shiraz. Crafted by Reschke, a South Australian family winery with deep roots in viticulture, this refined red reflects the region’s reputation for distinctive, cellar-worthy wines.

Rich aromas and flavours of dark plum, blackberry and chocolate are layered with peppery spice and smooth, structured tannins. Generous yet balanced, the wine delivers depth, freshness and a polished finish, offering an elegant expression of the 2015 vintage.

Coonawarra’s renowned terra rossa soils and cool-climate influence help shape red wines with concentration, structure and regional definition. Sourced from a premium private cellar, this mature Shiraz is a compelling choice for pairing with grilled steak, roast lamb, barbecue dishes or a hearty Sunday roast.

Reviews

Not often that we see a wine with more than a decade under its belt as a new release, but such things are always most welcome. The fruit comes from two blocks from the Estate vineyard on Terra Rosa soil in Coonawarra, which were planted in 1994. Maturation was in French and American oak hogsheads for a year and a half. The final wine was a selection from individual barrels. Deep russet red in colour, this is a savoury style with notes of dry vegetation, animal flesh, cherries, vegemite, dried herbs, mushrooms and a range of red fruits. Needless to say, there is some maturity evident here, but the wine is generous and approachable. The flavours are very much upfront, and we see chocolate notes emerging on the palate. There is a gentle fade through to powdery tannins. Enjoy it anytime over the next half dozen years.
